Refund policy

14-day right to cancel

You have 14 days from the day you receive your order to change your mind and cancel, for any reason. To cancel, email us at awearnessuk@gmail.com with your order number and tell us you’re cancelling. You then have a further 14 days to send the item back.

Once we receive the item back, we’ll refund the price you paid plus the standard outbound delivery charge, within 14 days, to your original payment method.

Return postage
You pay the cost of returning the item to us unless it arrived faulty, damaged, or not as described. We recommend a tracked service - until it reaches us, it’s your responsibility.

Important: how items must be returned
Every lighter we sell is supplied empty and de-gassed, because Royal Mail prohibits posting lighters containing flammable liquid or gas. You must return items in the same empty condition. Do not refill a lighter you intend to return, and never post a fuelled lighter — it’s illegal and it will be destroyed in transit.

Condition
These are pre-owned collectibles. You’re welcome to examine an item as you would in a shop. If it comes back with damage or handling beyond that — scratches, a refill attempt, missing packaging we supplied — we may reduce your refund to reflect the loss in value.

Return address
Please contact us before sending anything back. Items returned without notice may not be accepted.

Damaged, faulty or wrong item
Check your order as soon as it arrives. If anything is defective, damaged in transit, or not what you ordered, email awearnessuk@gmail.com within 30 days with photographs. We’ll cover return postage and either replace the item where possible or refund you in full.

Every item is described honestly, including surface marks and wear, and photographed from multiple angles. Please read the description and look at all photos before buying — condition notes are part of the description, not a defect.

Items we can’t accept back
We cannot accept returns of lighters or matchboxes that have been refilled, used, or that arrive back containing fuel or matches, for safety and legal reasons. This does not affect your statutory rights if the item was faulty or not as described.

Exchanges

We hold single, one-of-one pieces, so we can’t offer direct exchanges. Return the item for a refund and place a new order for the piece you’d prefer.
